Our Beliefs

If you are seeking Jesus, please let us share the Good news of the Gospel with you.

Please come as you are.

Jesus gave the great commission in Matthew 28:19-20, which says “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you; and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world”.

Since the Chariho Southern Baptist Church began we have sought to live out the “Great Commission” in the community where Christ Jesus has placed it. The goal of our church has been to be a warm, friendly, loving, fruit-bearing and soul-winning church. The church is known as the “come as you are church”. We know that God loves us the way we are, but loves us too much to leave us the way we are. We believe that salvation in the Lord Jesus includes a call to minister to people and that God has given to all his children gifts of grace that can be developed and used in ministry. We also believe that the Holy Spirit of God is our constant companion and He alone enables us to serve Jesus Christ to our fullest potential. He has said, “I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee” (Heb. 13:5)

Because we believe these facts, we will seek to discover, develop, and use together with our God-given gifts of ministry. Also, we will seek to encourage each other in a mutual sharing of faith, hope and love as the family of God. “By this shall all men know that you are my disciples if you love one another” (John 13:35)

Have questions about how you can have a personal relationship with Jesus? Ask specific questions or to set up a personal meeting with one of our pastors or deacons.

Are you a Christian seeking a local assembly of believers to join? A place where you can join in the ministry? Set up a personal meeting where we can begin to get to know each other and answer your questions.

May God richly bless each of us as we seek to be obedient to him!
